If you are wanting to claim exemption in states that you do not currently collect sales tax (but we do), then all but 10 states accept out-of-state resale numbers.  You simply need to fill out the appropriate form for each state you wish to claim exemption on.   

The 10 States that do not accept out-of-state resale exemptions are:

Alabama, California, Delaware, District of Columbia(DC), Florida, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Washington.
